The trial version includes a full copy of Window Clippings, but running it without a license produces screenshots with a watermark. Window Clippings 3 is designed for Windows 7 and Windows Vista. If you're running Windows XP please use Window Clippings 2.1. A Window Clippings 3 license includes a license for Window Clippings 2 just in case you need it.

With Window Clippings 3.1, you can capture Windows 8 windows, while properly handling the subtle differences with Windows 7 (i.e. the corners are square and the shadow is slightly different).
